Sustainability as part of the fabric for Home Design and Textile Trade Show

As the textile industry requires more Sustainable Development Goals-centred solutions, sustainable materials are gaining importance.

As the textile industry requires more Sustainable Development Goals-centred solutions, sustainable materials and fabrics are gaining importance. Heimtextil is considered one of the interior design and home textile industry’s most influential events.

On 10-13 January, 2023 Heimtextil brought together over 44,000 visitors and displayed 2,400 companies from 129 countries to kick off the upcoming season’s new products and trends.  While Heimtextil has been promoting green pioneers for over a decade, the aim of this year’s event was to set the industry’s course for sustainable transformation.

Under the theme of “Sustainability.Mindset.Responsibility,” visitors met certifiers and companies that have made commitments to sustainability. Through Green Lectures, guests were able to meet industry experts and listen to NGOs discuss solutions, best practices, and challenges that businesses face. Heimtextil’s Green Tours also enabled in-depth exchanges between visitors, exhibitors, and experts on the latest green textile innovations.
