PARTNER FOR THE SDGs

We facilitate multi-stakeholder engagement with the UNsystem to effect impactful global change.

We engage strategic partners, both inside and outside the UN, who are unified by their interest in and ability to drive progress on the Sustainable Development Goals- among them Member States, SDG Advocates, Women Rise network, media organizations, the creative community, philanthropies, the private sector, academic institutions, civil society organizations, women's leadership organizations, youth organizations, and UN system partners.

SDG ADVOCATES

The SDG Advocates are 17 influential leaders appointed by the UN Secretary-General to promote the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Representing diverse sectors—from government and business to entertainment and activism—they use their global platforms to inspire action, influence policy, and mobilize support for a more sustainable and equitable world. Hosted by the UN Office for Partnerships, the Advocates meet annually with the Secretary-General to share insights and drive momentum for the 2030 Agenda.

WOMEN RISE FOR ALL

Convened by the United Nations Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed, “Women Rise for All” is an initiative that highlights the leadership of women in a time of multiple crises, while advancing progress towards the SDGs. Launched at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, “Women Rise for All” has rallied a growing community of women leaders to participate in global advocacy and scientific endeavors. The initiative has since evolved into a gateway, connecting leaders to different networks around the world and within the United Nations.

AI and Human Development

Artificial intelligence is reshaping how we understand ourselves, society and the future by matching or exceeding human capabilities in some domains and raising fundamental questions about human identity and development. Beyond innovation, AI is transforming institutions such as education, governance and culture and influencing how we learn, decide and relate to one another, while raising concerns about technocratic views of human value. This moment is not only technical but ethical and existential. The AI and Human Development roundtable series creates space for global dialogue to reflect, debate and imagine a human-centered future.
