United Nations Conscious Fashion and Lifestyle Network to Host Annual Meeting
New York, NY - The United Nations Conscious Fashion and Lifestyle Network is set to host its annual meeting, co-convened by the United Nations Office for Partnerships and the Fashion Impact Fund, on June 1, 2023, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City. The meeting, with supporting partners Calik Denim, Lenzing, Renewcell and The LYCRA Company, will bring together more than 150 media, industry stakeholders, and United Nations representatives to highlight actions, solutions, and progress from the fashion and lifestyle sectors to advance knowledge and strengthen engagement to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals.
Industry advocates, changemakers and voices attendees will hear from include Ciara, Steven Kolb, Jamie Okuma, Native American Fashion Artist; Nkwo Onwuka, Founder and Creative Director, NKWO; Omar Salam, Founder, Designer and Creative Director, SUKEINA; Saad Amer, Founder and CEO, Justice Environment and Madhu Vaishnav, Founder and Director, Saheli Women. The discussions will feature a dynamic group of creatives, entrepreneurs and executives from the global fashion and lifestyle industry including Omoyemi Akerele, Founder and CEO, Lagos Fashion Week; Cecilie Thorsmark, CEO, Copenhagen Fashion Week; Niccolò Sbaraglia, Head of Commercial Development, Polimoda; Ngozi Okaro, Executive Director, Custom Collaborative and Laurence Carr, CEO and Creative Director, Laurence Carr, Inc.

stakeholders to drive urgent action for sustainability. The network's key objective is to mobilize expertise, innovation, technology, and resources towards achieving a more just and equitable world for all.
