The world needs a halftime talk

In 2015, 193 world leaders agreed on a bold game plan to improve the quality of life for all eight billion people in the world by 2030: the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Seven years in, we are at the halfway mark of the SDGs but we are down at Halftime with only 15% of the Goals on track. The good news is that any match is won in the second half. We have the knowledge and know-how to secure a life of dignity for all on a healthy planet. What we need now is to regroup, re-energize, recommit, and #ImagineWinning.

The SDG Pavilion Stories

IT’S TIME TO IMAGINE WINNING.

The UN Office for Partnerships worked with Project Everyone, a not-for-profit communications agency co-founded by SDG Advocate and screenwriter Richard Curtis, in collaboration with artist Es Devlin, to create the SDG Pavilion, a unique convening space and art installation. During high-level week of the General Assembly, the SDG Pavilion is hosting a series of Halftime Talks — a collaborative mix of panel discussions, lightning talks, performances, and films. Together we can mobilize the world to keep the promise of the SDGs
